In a wonderful interaction between the two universes, James Gunn has revealed in a Variety interview that a cameo in the Peacemaker finale was filmed on the Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3 set.
The Justice League makes a brief appearance towards the end of the episode, with Ezra Miller and Jason Momoa having an extremely fun interaction about Aquaman’s activity with fish. It was quite the unexpected appearance, and took a lot of the viewer base by surprise.
Gunn has revealed how he managed to put together the cameos in the finale, saying that: “I think before we ever shot the show, we talked to Jason about it. We were like, ‘Listen, Peacemaker says you f*ck fish all the time.’ And we were a little afraid he would be upset, but he just laughed. He was cool.
“So he was pretty much on board from the beginning. And then Ezra I just found out through some common friends liked my movies a lot. And so I asked if he would come in and shoot this scene, and he kindly agreed to do that. Actually, Marvel shot Ezra for us, while we’re shooting Guardians Vol 3.”

Peacemaker was recently renewed for a second season, following reportedly incredibly high viewing figures. It’s the first TV series set within the DCEU and features John Cena returning to play the titular character. Steve Agee and Jennifer Holland also return as their characters from The Suicide Squad. Freddie Stroma plays Vigilante, Robert Patrick plays Auggie Smith and Danielle Brooks plays Leota Adebayo.
