Halo Infinite Adds Daily XP Bonuses To Help With Progression

The XP progression in Halo Infinite has received a lot of criticism recently. Now, 343 Industries has added additional XP for daily matches to help players out.

The new system aims to give players a better chance at levelling up their battle pass quickly. Unyshek, Halo’s Community Manager, made a tweet explaining how it works.

The first 6 matches of the day will give a higher XP payout. It starts at 300XP for your first match, then goes down with each match until you get back to the previous 50XP payout.

XP Boosts

This is a neat fix, particularly for players who don’t have a lot of time to play each day. Before, those players would have been receiving minimal XP due to the 50XP per match system. Now, if you only have time for a few matches per day you can progress through the battle pass at a decent rate.

Another thing to note is that double XP boosts will be far more effective at the start of the day. Pop one of those on a Tuesday after the challenges reset and you’ll be raking in the XP.

This system still isn’t perfect, and fans are still clamoring for a classic progression system like Halo: Reach. We know 343 is working on progression, but it’ll take time before bigger changes come into play. For now, this XP boost should be a solid fix for players who feel they’re progressing too slowly.

Of course, the multiplayer is still just a beta ahead of the official release next week. So it’s possible that all of these issues will be resolved with the launch of the campaign.
