Call Of Duty 2022 Might See May Reveal, Rumours Suggest

It appears that the Call Of Duty 2022 release may see a reveal in May, if a reputable leak is to be believed.

Industry insider and known leaker RalphsValve tweeted an image of a countdown that ends on April 30th. He later followed that tweet with:

Let me preface this by saying, the reveal is still set for May.”

Now obviously, this is a conflicting report. It is possible that Activision plans to announce something, and that is what the countdown itself is referring to.

When will Call of Duty 2022 be set?

Call of Duty 2022 is currently rumoured to be a sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare. Continuing that story, it’s highly likely that we’ll see returning characters in a new spinoff story. Warzone is also heavily rumoured to be getting a makeover, with Warzone 2 releasing as a next-gen exclusive title.

It was previously acknowledged that Call Of Duty 2023 was delayed into 2024 to allow Treyarch more time to finish the title. This would mean that 2022’s entry would be the last Call Of Duty game for a couple of years. Due to this, the next game in the series would need to be something special to grab the attention of the player base for as long as possible.

The Bloomberg report states that this is due to Call Of Duty: Vanguard failing to meet internal expectations. Executives also believe that Activision is introducing new versions of the series too quickly, hampering growth and stopping the titles from growing.
