xQc recently gave us our first glimpse at the Overwatch 2 experience when he accidentally loaded it up live on stream.
There’s a beta due to drop in April this year for Overwatch 2, and Overwatch League players already have access to the beta in order to practice. It turns out, xQc is one of these people, as evidenced by the fact he leaked it on-stream and subsequently panicked like no man has ever panicked before.
During the stream, xQc was on Battle.net, not realizing that he’s opened a program titled ‘test server’. Obviously this is clearly the one that hosts Overwatch 2, and he panicked to an extreme degree.
“I’ll play a couple of games of Overwatch, why not? After that, I’ll do some racing or some driving, I don’t know what I’ll do after that. Oh my god oh my god, oh my god! Oh my f**king god I’m going to go to f**cking jail”
It’s clear that xQc didn’t mean to leak Overwatch 2 in the slightest, or he wouldn’t have panicked to the degree that he did. Still, one does wonder whether he’ll face consequences from Blizzard for leaking a look at one of their biggest upcoming releases.
An Overwatch developer stream is scheudled to go live later tonight. There, we should learn more details about what to expect from the Overwatch 2 Beta.
