Now I’m not saying get excited, but definitely get intrigued, because it looks like Valve has gotten a few members of its Dream Team back together again.

As confirmed by the man himself, Gabe Newell, Half-Life 2 and Portal 2 co-writer Eric Wolpaw has made a comeback to the company, assumedly working on a brand-new project.

So why exactly is this intriguing news? Well, Wolpaw – who’s believed to have joined Valve sometime in the last few months of 2018 – is now back at the company along with Jay Pinkerton, another co-writer of Portal 2 and HL.

Both Pinkerton and Wolpaw left Valve back in 2017, with Pinkerton rejoining in the summer of 2018.

So, with two of the best writers in the gaming back under the same roof, is it finally time to get excited about a new Portal or Half-Life?!

Maybe, but it’s a little too soon to tell. That’s not stopping fans from speculating about the direction Valve seems to be going in though.

We’ve been hearing for a while the rumours about a VR-compatible Half-Life. Maybe that’s what’s on the cards.

Even if the project isn’t what every gamer in the world is hoping for, it’s definitely going to be something special!
