Skate is kick-flipping its way onto PC for the first time ever, with the upcoming reboot ending its console exclusive run.
There is a lot of anticipation surrounding EA’s upcoming Skate revival. ‘skate.’ marks the fourth entry in the series, which was last released all the way back in 2010, with Skate 3. The wait for a Skate sequel was so long, that one player even created their own version of the game.
However, now that production of the Skate reboot is picking up, EA has given us a slither of new information. The game is still some time away, but the official Skate Twitter account took the time to announce that it was coming to PC.

Announced in June 2020, Full Circle has been quiet on the progress of the Skate reboot. However, this summer the team posted a video to address that they were still in early development.
The video revealed that Full Circle were using motion capture to provide authentic skateboarding animations. The next game will also be open world and feature multiplayer. The team are intent on capturing the feeling of Skate 2 in a back-to-basics reboot. Through the PC announcement, we see a skater jump over an old CRT, reaffirming this retro appeal.
Full Circle is a new studio, and technically only launched earlier this year. Taking on Skate as its first project, Full Circle claimed that it is “set to deliver an experience that will embrace and build upon everything our community found special about the previous games”.
Skate has also previously released on mobile and even Nintendo DS, but has neglected PC players its entire run. We still don’t know when it will launch. However, PC players will be excited to know they can be a part of the Skate experience for the first time when it does.
