Daniel Radcliffe has revealed that the upcoming ‘WEIRD: The ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic Story’ was filmed in a mere 18 days.
The biopic will feature Daniel Radcliffe as Weird Al himself, Evan Rachel Wood as Madonna and Rainn Wilson as Doctor Demento. We don’t yet know when exactly the film will release, but we do know that it’ll premiere on The Roku Channel. We actually know very little about the project, so keep an eye on our website for any updates as soon as we do know them.
Radcliffe has stated the following:
“I am so excited. It’s gonna be the longest wait for something to come out because I am so excited for people to see it. I think it’s gonna be really really cool. We shot it in 18 days. It was an unbelievably fast shoot, and I don’t know quite how we did it. But I think we did. I think it’s gonna be good.”
Depending on the type of movie, it can take a good long while to film big budget movies. However, with this Weird Al Movie seemingly grounded in realism, it seems that the crew were able to blitz through shooting in a matter of weeks. There’s is currently no release date attached to the project.
Radcliffe has been talking excitedly about this project for quite a while, which gives me a reason to excited for it. It’s always telling when an actor is excited for a project this genuinely, it always makes for an at least enjoyable project.
