Warner Bros has released some key details about the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy Harry Potter game, promising a 2022 release date.
It’s set to be a huge year for Harry Potter fans with two new films and a video game releasing, all set in the wizarding world. Aside from the recent reunion special, it’s been a long while since we last had some Harry Potter content to enjoy. Thankfully, the dry spell is nearly over (pun intended).
Video game fans have been patiently awaiting for more details about Hogwarts Legacy since it was officially unveiled in 2020. After several delays, Hogwarts Legacy was pushed back until 2022. However, recent rumours have cast doubt over whether we’ll even see it release in the next 12-months. Thankfully, Warner Bros is here to reassure us that the game is on track to release this year.
Hogwarts Legacy is looking promising for 2022!
The production company also released a few new details about what we can expect from the game. The paragraph reads:
“Developed by Avalanche Software, this action RPG allows players to be at the centre of their own adventure set during the late 1800s wizarding world. From learning powerful spells and brewing potions, to honing combat skills and taming magical beasts, this game will allow players to experience the magical world as a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry like never before as they determine the fate of the entire wizarding world.”
We already knew that we’d be able to play as our own witch or wizard, going about our daily lives at Hogwarts. However, this new description seems to tease a story with much larger scope. Implying that ‘the fate of the entire wizarding world’ is at stake hints that we’ll be taking on some huge challenges in the game. Hogwarts Legacy might be more in-depth than the magic school simulator we thought it to be.
