Do you think that there are more doors or wheels in the world? That’s the debate that is currently gripping the internet like a vice.
If you’ve used any social media app in the last few days, you’ll have no doubt encountered users debating about wheels and doors. But what does it all mean? Well, it all started a few days ago when a Twitter user posted about a debate they were having with their pals.
“My mates and I are having the STUPIDEST debate… and I am here for it. Do you think there are more doors or wheels in the world?,” it reads, before listing a poll of either doors or wheels. After running for 24 hours, over 223,000 users cast their vote. The verdict? 53.6% of the internet claimed that there are more wheels than doors in the world.
Team Doors Vs Team Wheels
However, the conversation didn’t end there. The debate is now spreading far and wide, even becoming a meme on TikTok. Users are posting their plentiful explanations as to why they are Team Door or Team Wheels.
One user explains why they’re Team Door. “Four door cars and trucks nullify themselves. All ships have doors, no wheels. All buildings have doors, no wheels. [It’s] Doors,” they write.
However, other users are quick to point out that things like shopping trolleys, drawers, even machinery parts all have wheels.
One TikTok creator was quick to post a clip from their place of work inside a warehouse. Inside, hundreds of carts span the space, all of which have four wheels.
As with most pointless internet debates, this is a question that we’ll likely never know the definitive answer to. Regardless, it’s certainly made for an entertaining few days of friendly debates and office conversations.
