Secrets Of The Pacific Event Disabled In Vanguard After Causing Crashes

If you’ve been explaining lots of crashes in Call of Duty: Vanguard recently, this might be the reason why.

‘Secrets of the Pacific’ is an in-game crossover event for Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone. It’s intended to ease players into the new WW2 era as Warzone makes its transition from the Cold War 80’s to the Pacific theatre of war. The new Pacific themed map for Warzone, known as Caldera, is expected to be released on December 8th. The Secrets of the Pacific event features a selection of challenges that relate to the upcoming Caldera map in Warzone.

However, it appears that this event was causing havoc for plenty of Vanguard players. It wasn’t long after the event started that some players reported their PS5’s crashing several times.

As a result, Sledgehammer Games has swiftly disabled the event for the time being. In a tweet from the developers account, the team said: “We’re disabling the Secrets of the Pacific event in Vanguard while we squash this bug”.

There’s no word yet on when the event will return, but it will surely be in time for the new Warzone map to drop. Sledgehammer has affirmed players that, when the event does make its return, their progress will remain. That’s good news for those that were able to log in and play without running into crashes!
