noblechairs HERO Far Cry 6 Edition Review | Best Chair In The Business?

Unless you’re one of those fitness freaks who walks on a treadmill while gaming, you’re likely to spend a long time sitting down while playing. As such, it’s imperative that you invest in a decent support for both your butt and back. Of course, IKEA has some decent options that won’t break the bank. However, if you want to truly show off your Gamer™️ personality, you might want to opt for something a little more… bougie.

That’s where the Far Cry 6 themed HERO Gaming chair comes in from noblechairs comes in. It’s a 30KG hunk of a seat that’s designed to keep you comfy while also looking the part. So, what makes it so special?

noblechairs HERO – Unrivalled Build Quality

The HERO line of chairs from noblechairs is the largest that the brand has to offer. With a ridiculously huge seat base and immense backrest, you certainly feel like you’re being enveloped in the chair. I’ve found that previous office chairs can start to feel like they trap you in them. That’s not the case with the HERO. As a 5ft 11”, 180KG guy, there’s still plenty of wiggle room to be had.

That seat and back cushion are made of extremely stern stuff. The foam used in both are thick as can be, and firm too. It’s wrapped in a PU-leather wrap, making for some incredibly comfortable upholstery. I must admit, I thought that the foam may have been a little too firm to begin with. However, the seat has started to loosen up after around a month of use. I can easily sit in the seat for the entirety of my nine hour working day without discomfort.

Ergonomic heaven

Part of that comfort is down to the adjustable features on this chair. A lumbar cushion is hidden inside the backrest of the chair itself. Twisting a knob on the right hand side of the chair pushes the lower back area outwards, resulting in a much more ergonomic sitting position. Likewise, the whole seat can be raised up or down to suit your desk height, and the whole thing reclines to an almost alarming angle. It’s perfect for kicking back on a lunch break or for when the gaming gets a little less serious.

Even the arm rests have a distinct amount of movement. They move outwards to provide extra sitting space. Alternatively, you can rotate them inwards or outwards depending on the angle at which you keep your keyboard. Both of these movements are locked behind buttons, so you won’t be making these adjustments accidentally.

In terms of ergonomics, the HERO chair has almost everything you could want. However, it’s a shame that the chair doesn’t come with a headrest cushion in the box. Having one included would complete the comfort package, and it’s a shame that it’s something noblechairs sells separately.

Conversation piece

Most office chairs look the same these days, which is why noblechairs decided to deck out this one with a Far Cry 6 themed livery. Vibrant yellow stripes flank the left and right of the seat, giving it some real colour pop on Zoom calls. The image of an angry looking Gorilla sits on the backrest, made up of subtle contours and some bright yellow stitching for eyes. That excellent sticking continues to the logo on the headrest and on the decal to the rear. Behind you, you’ll find a huge number six, adorned with “D. Rojas” to the top, an ode to the Far Cry 6 protagonist.

Chairs like these often come disassembled with an instruction manual to put it all together. While this can often be daunting, I found the assembly procedure extremely straightforward. You’ll likely need a second person to help as the parts can be rather heavy. Regardless, me and my partner managed to put this thing together in less than 20-minutes.

noblechairs HERO – Worth your money?

After using the HERO Far Cry 6 Edition for over a month, it’s by far my gaming chair that I’ve ever used. I suffer with severe back pain on a daily basis, but this chair seems to have alleviated some of that strife. It also seems to be fairly breathable – previous leather chairs of mine have had a habit of getting rather sweaty on hot days.

Overall, I would highly recommend the HERO line of seats from noblechairs. If you’re looking for something that’s comfortable but also flaunts a design from your favourite video game, these are the ones to go with.
