Twitch streaming can be a strenuous profession, with long hours and a lack of holidays, and it seems to have gotten to Pokemane who admits she is “burnt out”.
Pokimane, real name Imane Anys, has been in the game for a while. Starting in League of Legends, she has continued to rise by streaming the likes of Fortnite and Valorant.
And with 8.1 million followers on Twitch, she has become not only the most-watched female streamer on the platform but one of the most viewed streamers, period. She even briefly appeared in the Ryan Reynolds action-comedy Free Guy as herself.
However, in a recent blog on her secondary YouTube channel, Anys revealed that she was feeling burnt out from streaming.

Pokimane ‘Burnt Out’
This isn’t the first time the streamer has claimed burnout, after taking a month away last summer. However, her recent blog post seemed to suggest that Anys was keen to change her approach to streaming in a more permanent basis.
In her post she stated: “I know my mind and my heart, really really don’t want to admit it, but I think I’m burnt out.“
Anys then went on to explain that she rarely feels excited by what she is doing, as she once did. Burnout is a serious thing and can be especially dangerous for streamers. With income and fan bases being dependent on consistent streams, streamers are at risk of forcefully continuing their work.
Anys went on to explain that she is happy with the life that she has, but that she can’t do the same thing forever. Hopefully, the Twitch star will make adjustments to her streaming schedule to ensure she isn’t lost to the platform entirely.
