MrBeast’s $456,000 IRL Squid Game Is Taking YouTube By Storm

MrBeast has been busy creating his own IRL version of the games from Squid Game, and the video is finally out on YouTube.

The video was a huge undertaking as MrBeast and his team created their own version of sets from the show as well as a huge cash prize. The budget for the video was reportedly over $3.5 million, compared to the Netflix show’s reported $21 million.

It’s already going crazy on YouTube with over 30 million views in less than 24 hours. The video managed to reach 1 million views in just 10 minutes, and it definitely lives up to the hype.

IRL Squid Game

456 real players took part in MrBeast’s version of Squid Game, each competing for the $456,000 prize at the end. Every game was recreated faithfully, with a couple exceptions. For example, the glass game was changed so that players didn’t know which number they were picking.

The video also received some criticism before its release. Some people on social media thought the video was ironic – the Netflix show is all about rich people using poor people’s struggles for entertainment, and MrBeast was criticised for doing the same (well, with less murder).

In reality, the video is just for fun and most people in the video were given some cash for participating. Not to mention, MrBeast is known for his philanthropy both in and outside of his videos.
