McDonald’s Now Does Sweet Potato Fries

McDonald’s is great. Whenever you need a quick meal, or you’re hungover, or six hours into a long gaming session – they’re there. The only problem is that they don’t do EVERYTHING. Where’s my pizzas at?!

McDonalds is always quick to try different burgers, types of chicken etc, but one thing has remained the same. Their potato offering is pretty much just normal potato fries, and that’s it. With the rise of sweet potato fries around the world, many have questioned why McDonalds hasn’t joined in on the hype, and well I have the answer for you. They actually HAVE.

You CAN buy sweet potato fries from McDonalds, and you actually have been able to for a while now. It’s just the small little catch of the fact that the fast-food restaurant chain has only got these in stores in select locations around the world.

One lucky Stockholm resident recently tweeted: “McDonalds sweet potato fries is everything. Thank God for McDonald’s.”

Another wrote: “They had sweet potato fries at the McDonald’s in Sweden and I’m still thinking about it.”

Sweden. Okay, firstly let’s just accept that it’s pretty amazing that they even exist at ALL. But hey, as with any viral product – if we make a loud enough noise about it then McDonalds are likely to hear that we all demand them, and that they would be well and truly enjoyed and loved in our own countries.

Especially considering McDonalds actually once sent this tweet to someone who begged for sweet potato fries to ‘be a thing’.
