Fortnite fans have been absolutely loving the recent addition of a No Build mode, and it looks like the mode might be here to stay permanently [via GamingBible].
As part of the Fortnite story in Chapter 3 Season 2, Epic Games removed the player ability to build structures. Building is a key gameplay component of Fortnite, differentiating it from other Battle Royale games on the market. However, this has caused frustration for players that prefer the shooting mechanics of Fortnite. There’s certainly a skill curve for players that are able to master building, but it’s certainly not for everyone.
This first week of having no building has given Fortnite a huge resurgence in players, which is heartwarming to see. Lapsed players like myself have given in to the curiosity and returned to a game that they thought inaccessible due to building.
We even ran a poll to see whether players would like the No Build mode to stay permanently, and the results were a resounding ‘yes’.
Is Fortnite No Build Here To Stay?
Well, it seems like Epic Games is taking note of what players want. According to a leak in the game files, the No Build mode will be staying permanently after the limited trial runs out. The mode will officially be titled “No Build Battle Royale”, and that will spread across Solos, Duos, Trios, and Squads.
Epic Games is yet to officially confirm this news, but it’s certainly looking promising!
