Some lucky players will get a chance to try out Halo Infinite Multiplayer Beta this weekend.
Halo Infinite is one of the biggest games on the horizon, and it feels like a long time coming. Originally intended to release alongside the Series X, Infinite has suffered a series of internal delays.
However, during Xbox’s E3 conference in June, we got confirmation that the game will arrive before the year is out. The only catch is that Microsoft is still playing shy with a release date.
For some, that wait has come to a halt. For those that registered interest, invites have begun to flow out for Halo Infinite Multiplayer’s Technical Preview. The technical preview will run between July 29th and August 1st, meaning players have the weekend to get familiar with Infinite.
THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER (HOPEFULLY)
Halo developers 343 Industries teased the potential of an imminent Technical Preview or Beta earlier this week on a blog post. If anything, this does indicate that Infinite is on track for its rumoured November release.
Halo Infinite Multiplayer will be free-to-play and will include a new battle pass system that allows players to take their time. As someone that is currently grinding through the Apex Legacy battle pass before Emergence arrives, this sounds like a step in the right direction.
While it may be too late to get selected, the Halo Insider Program, is still up for registration. There is no harm in shooting your shot, and who knows, you may be playing Halo Infinite Multiplayer this weekend!
Halo Infinite Multiplayer is currently scheduled for a Holiday 2021 release and will launch alongside Infinite’s campaign. Infinite will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
