Hideo Kojima parted ways with Konami last year and launched a brand new studio, Kojima Productions, which is an independentĀ venture. A new black and white logo portraying an armored and skull faced character was also announced simultaneously.
After nearly five months since the inception of the new logo, Kojima has divulged the full mascot behind the logo. The name of the icon isĀ Ludens and he looks like a futuristic explorer.
Kojima tweetedĀ an image featuring theĀ full body look of Ludens and described him asĀ “the icon of Kojima Productions.” Ludens can also be seen holding a Kojima Productions flag and wearing an ‘extra-vehicular creative activity suit’ on the image.
HeĀ added,Ā We’ll deliver THE NEW PLAY in THE NEW FUTURE with the cutting-edge equipment, technology, & the frontier spirit.”

As announced before, the first project of the reformed Kojima Productions will be developing a new franchise of which the first title would be a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
