Halo TV Series Gets Second Season Before The First Is Even Out

The Halo TV show on Paramount+ has been renewed for a second season before the first season even airs.

The Halo show is set to premiere on March 24th exclusively on Paramount+. It follows the story of Master Chief, the hero of the Halo games. However, the show is set during a different timeline so it’s not connected to the games’ story.

And before we even get to watch season 1, the show has already received a season 2. Clearly, Paramount think this show is going to be a success!

Second Season Confirmed

In a press release, Tanya Giles, chief programming officer, said, “Halo is an expansive, world-building opportunity for Paramount+, and we’re thrilled to give fans a second season to look forward to before we launch the series next month. Halo will deliver a thrill-ride for fans of the game and non-gamers alike, as it ties together stunning visuals with a deeper look at the personal stories behind these iconic characters, all set within an epic battle for the future of humanity.”

In addition, it was confirmed that David Wiener will become the new showrunner for season two. The original showrunners left after season 1, which perhaps doesn’t bode well for the first season. Hopefully it will still live up to the Halo games and deliver a great sci-fi story!
