Season 2 of Riot’s animated Netflix show ‘Arcane‘ is already in development, just days after the final episodes of Season 1 aired.
Riot Games released an announcement video for Season 2 on the YouTube channel for League of Legends. It’s brief, but it tells us all we need to know – season 2 is in production.
Arcane co-creators Alex Yee and Christian Linke said “We’re beyond happy about the positive response to Arcane’s first season and are working hard with the creative wizards at Riot and Fortiche to deliver our second instalment.”
Where Is Arcane Going?
The video actually teases a few potential plot points. Despite only being 30 seconds long, we got some hints at what might be going down in Season 2.
The biggest tease is the music at the end. This sound is straight from Warwick’s hunt ability in League of Legends. Warwick is a classic league character who many have speculated would make an appearance in Arcane at some point, and this essentially confirms it.
The video also teases more interaction between Caitlyn, Vi and Jinx. The former says “If I go after your sister alone, one of us comes back in a box”. We’ll definitely be seeing more of them on screen, but who knows which direction the story will head.

Arcane is receiving rave reviews and a ton of positive reception from fans of LoL, and even those who’ve never touched the game before. It’s fair to say Riot has managed to create a show that appeals to everyone while still pleasing fans of the game.
