1. No Man’s Sky

Oh No Man’s Sky where did you go wrong, you were supposed to be the king of Indie games. The chosen one indie title that could deliver an AAA game experience. The game is an ocean wide, yet a puddle deep. While there are 18 quintillion planets in the game, a small handful of them were different, while the rest felt like clones. What the game originally offered upon its release was uninteresting, and bare bones, while graphically the game was a bit of a disappointment for late 2016 standards (at least it was in my opinion).
For those that are saying that everyone “fell into the hype,” I would have to disagree with you on that one because what Hello Games founder, Sean Murray was sitting on a throne of lies. What was showed and promised to us before release was drastically different from what the final product ended up being, and what was alleged you could do in the game was not present at the time of release.
