4. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 was released in 2007. The tactical shooter game published by Ubisoft seemed like a normal tactical shooter war game which had nothing controversial apart from a little blood violence.

However, this was not the case. While no one found anything controversial in the game, the regional authorities of Ciudad Juarez in Mexico objected to a mission which needed to clear the guerillas in the streets of the city. The mayor of the town then convinced the Governor of Mexico to seize each and every copy of the game and it was banned in the country.

5. Command and Conquer: Generals

Command and Conquer: Generals is the next game to feature in this list. The game was released back in 2003 and published by EA Games.

The game tried to tap into the Asian market by detonating a nuclear weapon in Chinese capital Beijing. This was however not taken down well by the Chinese authorities. The game even showed the destruction of the iconic three gorges dam. Following this, the Chinese authorities put a ban on all the entire Command and Conquer series.

The Guy Game is an adult video game which was released back in 2004. The game was developed by TopHeavy Studios and published by Gathering.

The game was actually a trivia gameshow where the players are rewarded with video footage where young girls reveal their bare chests. There were several complaints lodged against the game by various people. The game was finally banned in the whole of United States because of the reason that one of the girls who revealed their chest was only 17 years old.
